European Nike IAM1

The next stop of the European Nike IAM1 Journey is London. They asked INSA, the infamous London-based artist, to do an installation and exhibition with his trademark pieces. It’s quite nice to see how he can scale them and how they fit perfectly together. Just watch the video to see what I mean.
Next Friday is the opening of “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places” at 1948 in London.

Monocle Rules
In Monocle's latest issue there are a least 10 examples of sponsored content where the magazine editorial and publishing teams have worked with government boards, property developers and lifestyle brands to create new content for reader, publisher and advertiser.
I think what Monocle are doing at the moment is really inspired. It is what more of the media should be doing - using there creative staff to help brands create content and reach readers who really want to consume. This approach is great for all involved and should be an approach adopted by more newspapers and magazines. The fundamental point is that Monocle's Ad revenue has increased 30% in the past year - what other publication can say that, not many I would assume
The June 17, the issue is packed with new advertisers, in addition to exclusive multi-layered global advertising initiatives with Absolut, BMW, Rosetta Stone, Diageo and HyundaiCard.

This is Amazing
36-year-old Eric Lewis a.k.a Elew studied piano as a child and later at the Manhattan School of Music. He then played for the Lincoln Center Jazz Troupe and toured with jazz greats Wynton Marsalis and Cassandra Wilson before breaking off to go it on his own. His individual style, often standing whilst playing, reaches into the piano to pull its strings conjures a new and original take on playing the piano. It seems far more spontaneous and is far more intriguing to watch than your bog standard piano man.

J+ / Uniqlo

“Jil Sander’s creative role at Uniqlo extends beyond the +J collection to the brand’s other apparel and accessories for men and women. But it is understood that the designer is focusing her initial efforts on the fall/winter launch of this newly created collection, flying frequently between her home in Hamburg, Germany and Tokyo.
The +J collection will be sold at Uniqlo’s flagship stores in major cities and on the brand’s own website. A release date has not been established yet, according to a Fast Retailing spokeswoman.”
